Microsoft Office 2007

Recently I visited the Wausau area and every once in awhile I will stop in and play around in Best Buy to check out all the new "cool" stuff that has just come out. I was playing around in the new computer area and I noticed that one of the systems had an evaluation copy of the much anticipated Windows Vista operating system installed on it, along with the Professional Edition of the upcoming Microsoft Office System 2007. (Note that I did not say much anticipated on this one.) While this had taken me by surprise, as I did not think Best Buy would have installed it without permission (and after speaking with a young salesman I found out they did indeed sneak it on there), I decided to take the time to check out the new version of Office, and I was completely taken by surprise; everything (and I mean everything!) is completely different! I left there wondering what on earth is Microsoft thinking?! First off, most businesses are so reluctant to upgrade due to cost and Microsoft's own reputation, but boy, now this version is going to possibly require retraining? Although the graphics were pretty impressive, I'm not so sure about this. In hindsight, I admit I probably should've taken a bit more time to explore it a bit more, but so far from a business perspective, this version is getting a thumbs down from me.

i just received a spam email, and it was one of those ones that sneaks past the 'bayesian anti-spam filtering' by containing a lot of "normal human sentences" (which the spammers steal from websites around the world).

In this case i (weirdly) googled some of the sentences to see where they came from, and a lot of them were taken from this blog entry of yours Krista! How cruel... your words have been stolen for use in spam.

Anyway, best of luck with everything
