Excited, Relieved... Employed!
I'm absolutely thrilled - I just received a phone call tonight from Hawkins, Ash, Baptie & Company, LLP, extending me a job offer for the temporary Seasonal Tax Preparer position I briefly blogged about here. I'm sooo excited (not to mention what I will also be compensated)!!!
Not that what I will be paid was the deciding factor in my accepting the job offer, but mainly for the reasons I described also in my previous post. And the means of which I had applied for the position I must admit were quite bold; I mailed them a copy of my own self-prepared tax return! Talk about demanding results from your efforts!
So as you can tell I'm pretty excited; an excellent job opportunity (although temporary) with a reputable firm to get my foot in the door while at the same time keeping my options open. I had already been anticipating the tax season, now I'm especially looking forward to it! I start mid-late January, and I can't wait! (And thank God... no more cover letters at least for a little while!)
