On my way!
After much, much considerable thought, I've just submitted my application for admission into Upper Iowa University in pursuit for my B.S. in Accounting, possibly leading to an MBA as Wisconsin has now instituted the 150 semester hour requirement since 2001 in order to sit for the CPA exam, which is my ultimate goal. (Let's remember, I want to be self-employed now.) I'm so excited! I anticipate starting in May for Term V after my seasonal employment with Hawkins, Ash, Baptie & Company, LLP, in which I anticipate doing in following years as well. Because of this, it will probably keep me out of classes for both Terms III & IV; however, once I have satisfied the 150-hour requirement, it should count toward the one year of public accounting experience required in application for the CPA exam. (I guess you could say my employment during tax season will be considered my "summer break".) I've chosen to attend Upper Iowa University as Northcentral Technical College, the college I had received my A.A.S., has an articulation agreement with them (ALL of my credits will transfer), and I will be attending locally at the Wausau campus for my classes. I can't wait as I am so excited that I am about to embark on a new chapter in my life, wish me luck!
